When competence meets talent the result is always so stunning that anyone can’t help but notice. That’s what happened to AR Design Studio – based in a Winchester,Hampshire – which last month gained another important award for its quality architecture.

When competence meets talent the result is always so stunning that anyone can’t help but notice. That’s what happened to AR Design Studio – based in a Winchester,Hampshire – which last month gained another important award for its quality architecture.

AR Design Studio won the Sunday Times British Home Award, thanks to the 4 Views project.

Located right in Winchester, this house takes over its regular neighborhood with its appealing contemporary look made of dark grey bricks, a flat overhanging roof, cedar cladding and grey aluminium framed windows. But what makes it even more stunning is the “glass factor”, with a breathtaking view on the surrounding nature.

Last but not least, this project – by Andy Ramus and Laura Locke – also featured a strong human side, as the clients wanted 4 Views to be a fresh start in their life after the loss of their daughter. To that end, the work went beyond the simple professional interaction by turning into a genuine friendship between the owners and the whole studio.

A contemporary project with a timeless ingredient: the attention to the clients.
