After working as a visual merchandiser, Elisa Cavani created Manoteca,a brand dedicated to recycle-based design. Her work is aimed at turning upside down any profit-logic by offering pieces of furniture that can be transformed and re-used in many different ways.

Her raw material comes from garages, basements and junk rooms where she picks items that can be completely renovated. That’s what happened to Box sir, a table made up of 19th century refurbished wood boxes, that can be moved and reassembled to turn the table into a completely different piece of furniture. Change is the core of Cavani’s design, creating unique handmade pieces made of nontoxic materials to turn old forgotten items into new useful pieces.
