Golden Key: Vicenza opens the doors of the City of Gold with VIOFF 2026

Art, education and culture meet in the Vicenzaoro Fuori Fiera for a weekend that connects places, people and skills

From 16 to 18 January 2026, Vicenza shines again with the fifteenth edition of VIOFF – the Vicenzaoro Fuori Fiera, the widespread event that brings art, culture and education to the heart of the city. In conjunction with Vicenzaoro – the international exhibition of gold, jewellery and watchmaking – VIOFF transforms the historic centre into an urban stage made up of meetings, installations, thematic itineraries and extraordinary openings. This year’s concept, “Golden Key”, is not just a symbol: it is the key that opens the doors of the City of Gold, inviting citizens and visitors to enter the places, knowledge and skills that define Vicenza’s identity.
The beating heart of the 2026 edition will be the Golden House set up at Palazzo delle Poste, which will become the headquarters of the event for the entire weekend. Here visitors will be able to collect the Golden Key, a key with a unique QR code that guides them to discover some of the most emblematic places in the city, including UNESCO sites, cultural institutions and historic shops. An invitation to experience Vicenza as a path, crossing iconic spaces such as the Palladian Basilica, the Olympic Theater, the Civic Art Gallery and the Jewelry Museum, where the new exhibition “Jewel – Italy. Materia Tecnica Arte. Between Ancient and Modern”, a journey in eleven stages and over 150 works that tells more than two millennia of history of Italian jewelry.

VIOFF 2026 also focuses on training, with the Golden Talks scheduled for Friday 16 January: a moment of discussion between students, professionals and companies, designed to bring the new generations closer to the gold and jewellery supply chain. Innovation, digitization, inclusion and the future of skills are the key themes of a dialogue that looks ahead, enhancing a strategic sector for Made in Italy.
The cultural dimension is intertwined with the exhibition and participatory one: the Golden House will host works and installations by contemporary artists and designers, while workshops and dissemination activities will make the meaning of the concept immediate. The “keys” thus become a tool for accessing places, experiences and knowledge, strengthening the link between the city, creativity and know-how.
The involvement of the local economic fabric is also fundamental. Historic shops, boutiques, concept stores, bars and restaurants will offer itineraries, demonstrations, menus and drinks inspired by gold, transforming the experience into a multisensory story that combines culture, craftsmanship and hospitality. It is a concrete way to enhance the productive identity of the territory and to invite you to experience Vicenza beyond the boundaries of the fair.
With Golden Key, VIOFF 2026 confirms itself as a model of urban event capable of connecting tradition and contemporaneity, art and business, education and entertainment. Not a simple setting for Vicenzaoro, but a shared project that makes the city the protagonist of a widespread experience, where every open door becomes an opportunity for discovery.
