Knit! by Kvadrat

A series of works by 28 international designers exploring the potential of Kvadrat Febrik fabrics

Knit! will debut in Copenhagen during 3 Days of Design (3-5 September 2020) physically and as a digital and interactive exhibition visible worldwide.
Designers have been chosen from all over the world to create pieces with Kvadrat Febrik fabrics as the protagonists. Selected by curators Anniina Koivu, Jeffrey Bernett, Johanna Agerman Ross, Njusja de Gier and Renee Merckx, each designer was chosen for their curiosity to experiment with materials, shapes and colours, with many operating on the border between industrial design and craftsmanship.
Kvadrat Febrik’s knitted fabrics are three-dimensional constructions with form-shaping capabilities that open up a world of material possibilities. They provide designers with the perfect canvas to push the boundaries of what can be accomplished within their respective disciplines.
The digital exhibition features all 28 works on display around Kvadrat’s headquarters in Ebeltoft, Denmark, transforming the space into an online gallery.
On a dedicated website, viewers will be able to virtually explore the exhibition and see each project in detail, accompanied by the designer who will guide the viewer through his inspirations and design process.
Knit! is the fourth edition of Kvadrat’s Design Projects, following Kvadrat’s Hallingdal 65, Divina and Canvas iterations dedicated to fabrics.
