From 4 to 13 September 2025, Paris becomes the beating heart of international design with the fifteenth edition of Paris Design Week, Maison&Objet’s off-site festival that transforms the city into a widespread creative laboratory. It is not a simple extension of the fair, but a real urban itinerary that animates districts such as Le Marais, Opéra, Bastille and Saint-Germain-des-Prés with installations, exhibitions, boutiques and vernissages open to a heterogeneous audience made up of professionals, enthusiasts and the curious. The event, which takes place in parallel with the Maison&Objet fair (this year from 4 to 8 September), takes design out of the pavilions to make it an integral part of city life.
The theme for 2025 is “Renewal”, a concept that recalls new aesthetics, sustainable practices and innovative languages, but also a particular focus on young creatives who are redesigning the frontiers of contemporary design. In this sense, a central role is played by the Paris Design Week Factory, a section dedicated to emerging talents with less than five years of activity. Here over 130 designers will present projects and prototypes divided into thematic paths such as Collectible, Edition, Craft and China, offering a valuable opportunity to discover what is emerging in the global creative scene.
The 2025 edition also introduces new stops not to be missed: spaces such as Entrelacs, Kostia Art and Design Studio, Plum Living and the renovated Grand Palais enrich the map of places to explore. The goal is to further expand the dialogue between design, art and the city, creating a fluid path that unites showrooms, galleries and institutional spaces. The atmosphere during Paris Design Week is unique: on the one hand the professional and international character of Maison&Objet, on the other the widespread energy of an urban festival that involves the whole city and invites anyone to experience design in a participatory way.
Participating means immersing yourself in a global showcase, discovering new trends, confronting creatives and international brands, but also being surprised by bold installations and paths that mix design, art and contemporary craftsmanship. For companies and designers, entering this circuit means gaining visibility and networking opportunities in a dynamic and open context. For visitors, on the other hand, it is an opportunity to experience Paris from a new point of view, with maps, official app and itineraries that allow you to build personalized routes between different neighborhoods and styles.
Paris Design Week 2025 therefore promises to be more than an event, an immersive experience that celebrates the transformative power of design and its ability to regenerate spaces, ideas and visions. If you are interested in the world of design, applied art and new forms of urban creativity, September in Paris is the perfect time to get inspired and experience the energy of renewal up close.
