The haute couture world’s headquarter confirmed its international importance by staging the third edition of Paris Design Week, a big event where both design professionals and design lovers got the chance to immerse into home decoration as well as meet several famous designers who were in town to take part in this year’s theme, “Energies”.
From 9 to 15 September Paris has been ruled by Maison & Objet, hosting many creative events all about art, fashion and lifestyle, scattered around over 150 venues. A great week for the French capital just before its well known fashion week. Paris confirmed its importance as a design city, also thanks to several events dedicated to emerging designers such as Now ! le Off that gave to 50 young designers the chance to exhibit their self-produced prototypes, or Docks – Fashion and Design city, sponsored by Orange and Citroën.
Design met creativity in many venues such as restaurants, boutiques and even private apartments, each focusing on different areas such as Art&Design, dedicated to architecture, Food&Design or Design&Mobility, dedicated to urban and environmental issues. Paris also hosted lots of parties such as Poltrona Frau’s or Boffi’s cocktails, plus many other art exhibitions like FABRICA, by master glazier Massimo Lunardon, located in Christian Lacroix boutique. After such a wonderful design week all you have to do is get ready for the next one.
