Marriage between fashion and design? The dream becomes truth thanks to Paul Smith Point collection unwittingly launched during the London Fashion Week. For those who love fashion and the British style of the famous designer well-known for the Micro Full Colour stripes, new reinterpretations of some iconic pieces of design in a fashionable way emerge.
Houses gets a whole new look thanks to the collection realized by the Danish Fritz Hansen with Maharam, Kvadra and naturally Paul Smith, giving to pieces of contemporary design a new glimpse of life as for example the Egg chairs, Swan and Gran Prix by Arne Jacobsen , PK22 chair by Poul Kjaerholm and the Alphabet Sofa by Piero Lissoni.
Imagine the so famous Egg chair or the Swan chairas well, created by Arne Jacobsen at the end of ’50 to furnish the exclusive Royal SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. Remarkable to be the first swivel chairs covered they are fashionably dressed, indeed. The same goes for the PK22 chair realized with brushed stainless steel covered in a soft Italian leather by Poul Kjaerholm during mid ’50, and the Sofa by Piero Lissoni whose design, inspired by toy Lego bricks, consists of modular elements that can be combined in different ways.
An inspired project where shapes do not change but the look is almost new thanks to 7 geometric patterns and 11 colours that join together the passion for cult pieces of contemporary design and the fashion British touch of Paul Smith. Bright colours from khaki to mustard-coloured going through green, yellow and blue join natural shades to obtain a resounding result that offers endless solutions for a stylish home that faces the art.
