On the occasion of 3daysofdesign 2025, the international design event held every year in Copenhagen, the Stellar Works brand presents a new chapter in its creative evolution through the immersive experience “Omotenashi”. Set in the historic Odd Fellow Palace, within the Framing exhibition, this installation marks a key moment in the redefinition of the Japanese brand, which combines Eastern aesthetics and Western sensibilities.
Founded in Japan but with a global presence, Stellar Works has built a solid reputation in furniture for the high-end hospitality industry over the years. With “Omotenashi”, the brand reaffirms its cultural and artisanal DNA, focusing on a design vision that celebrates hospitality, attention to detail and human connection.
The Japanese term omotenashi expresses a profound concept: authentic and discreet hospitality, based on respect, precision and attention. And this is precisely the spirit that permeates the two rooms set up in the building: the Sake Bar Lounge, curated by Space Copenhagen on the occasion of the studio’s 20th anniversary, and the Sakura Lounge, which hosts new collections designed by Yabu Pushelberg, Alessandro Munge and Layan. These spaces, between natural materials and poetic shapes, tell a vision of design as a sensory and emotional experience, designed for elegant and sustainable contract environments.
At the heart of this renewal is the collaboration with curator and brand consultant Tony Chambers, who guided the project towards a new visual and strategic identity. “It’s a subtle but significant transformation,” says Chambers. “Warmer, softer, and more consistent with the artisanal and bespoke nature of Stellar Works.”
Alongside the aesthetic redefinition, the company announces a greater synergy between the commercial collection and bespoke solutions, consolidating its ambition: to become the world reference point for luxury furniture in the hospitality sector.
On the sustainability front, Stellar Works enters into a partnership with YKK Group, official sponsor of the exhibition. Through innovative recycled materials — from fabrics with logos to zinc components — YKK contributes to demonstrating how designer furniture can integrate environmental responsibility and formal quality.
“Stellar Works creates furniture that elevates the world’s finest spaces,” says CEO Daisuke Hironaka. “With ‘Omotenashi’ we celebrate our essence: conscious design, enduring craftsmanship and harmonious environments.”
