A 114 square meter apartment located right in the heart of Strasbourg, France, inside an old elegant building. YCL studio signed the renovation of the space to make it functional, comfy and eclectic by preserving its original, classic and sophisticated elements – to be reinterpreted in a contemporary design way. YCLs team combined dark and bright colors – such as yellow and red – to emphasize new elements, leaving the original ones in their own hue.

YCL studio signed the renovation of the space to make it functional, comfy and eclectic by preserving its original, classic and sophisticated elements – to be reinterpreted in a contemporary design way. YCL’s team combined dark and bright colors – such as yellow and red – to emphasize new elements, leaving the original ones in their own hue.
The result is a unique palette that merges old and new together, respecting and preserving the original character of the apartment. The bathroom plays an interesting role within the project, as it is designed to be sort of a spa, with a lot of natural illumination, a massive bath tub at the center, and even a seat and a balcony to chill out after a warm bath. All its neat lacquered white furniture has been designed by the architects, to create a perfect balance amid the room. STRAUSS project is a dramatic successful combination between old and new, as proved by the many awards gained by the studio, including “The most professional interior design project” and “The best bathroom project” in 2015.
