A fireplace inside an apartment always makes a difference, and is able to give the rooms a peaceful, relaxing and warm atmosphere. Unfortunately, it is an object that also brings with it certain disadvantages, among which the main one is certainly the hassle related to the constant and necessary cleaning of the brazier, as well as the large amount of ash that is inevitably released inside the apartment during each use.
Recently, the world of design has been greatly enhancing bioethanol stoves, to be considered as 2.0 fireplaces. These modern furnishing accessories work exactly like wood-burning fireplaces, with the difference that they are far more elegant, do not emit potentially toxic substances and are available in different sizes to adapt to any domestic environment.
Clearly, just like fireplaces, bioethanol stoves lend themselves to being the focal point of a living room or a rather large room. In fact, with a little ingenuity and creativity, it is possible to install this piece of furniture in additional alternative sections of an apartment. Let’s see, therefore, how to best position a bioethanol fireplace by following the suggestions of interior design experts.
Inside an equipped wall
Like traditional fireplaces, bioethanol stoves also find their ideal space in the middle of a room. Indeed, precisely because modern bioethanol fireplaces do not require the installation of a chimney nor do they pose a danger to the surrounding furniture, they can be inserted inside a practical equipped wall.
In many modern homes, in fact, there is a tendency to use bioethanol stoves replacing televisions, i.e. placing them at the center of a complex of shelves and bookcase furniture.
Guests will certainly be drawn to the fire dance and your wall unit will remain the focal point of the room concerned.
To separate rooms
There are some models of rather thin bioethanol stoves, which could adapt impeccably as a separation sheet between one section and another of an open space environment. If your apartment has a single room that includes a living room and kitchen, placing a trail of flames to divide the two rooms could be the ideal option.
On the one hand, in fact, it allows you to enrich the house and create a pleasant separation that gives more privacy to the tenants. From a functional point of view, however, it can be considered as an additional source of lighting that will make the spaces of the house more “open”, bright and enjoyable.
Along a corridor
And why not, maybe a bioethanol fireplace could be right for you to create a long, rather dark corridor inside your home. Probably the heating action of the stove would be partially wasted, however a solution of this type will allow you to incredibly enhance an area of the apartment considered “transitory” and bare.
Ideally, you should install a single side strip that runs at least the middle section of the corridor. You may consider it more appropriate to equip yourself with two flaming strips, one on each side, but it would be preferable not to overdo it. Our advice is, on the contrary, to take advantage of the brightness obtained by enriching the corridor with shelves for books, favors or various objects.
To each room its own!
Bioethanol stoves, as we have seen, have really revolutionized the way we understand interior design. This type of accessories can be applied in different areas of the house without running any risk related to toxic fumes or fires. You could even consider applying one of these stoves in an outdoor environment. If you have a garden, it could be very pleasant to install the device near an outdoor table or an entrance area of the apartment.
