The following is a brief guide to what you really can't miss in an industrial kitchen and what are the advantages of choosing this style of living, especially in the city and in smaller apartments.

What can't be missing in an industrial-style kitchen
There are few simple rules for furnishing an industrial-style kitchen: green light to commonly used materials such as wood and steel, resistant and easy to clean; no frills and objects that are not functional to the activities that take place in the kitchen such as, in particular, the preparation of meals and seek as much as possible an unfinished and raw effect. As for the elements that cannot be missing in an industrial kitchen, there are five:
• metal shelving, first of all, to replace the more classic wall units, cabinets and kitchen cabinets;
• visible appliances and in particular the stand-alone refrigerator, preferably designer and vintage in finishes;
• the counter or peninsula in wood or metal, excellent alternatives to the table with chairs also to have the main meals of the day or for an informal aperitif with your guests;
• chandeliers or ceiling lights in metal or recycled materials and light bulbs with visible heating elements;
• a few decorative elements of character such as old plaques, posters and vintage posters, an illuminated sign, blackboards on which to write down the weekly menu and shopping list.
Almost always industrial-style kitchens can also be recognized by their colors: unlike shabby chic kitchens where white and natural tones prevail, in an industrial kitchen the dominant shades are gray, brown and in many cases even black. The only precaution before choosing black appliances and furniture for your kitchen or giving a coat of black to exposed pipes and systems – another topos of the industrial style in the kitchen – is to make sure that the room is spacious enough not to risk looking smaller due to the very dark shades of the furniture.

Why furnish the kitchen in an industrial style
Moving on to the reasons why you should furnish the kitchen in an industrial style, the fact mentioned at the beginning, which is one of the main trends of the moment in the world of interior design, is not the only one. Many of those who opt for an industrial kitchen are mainly looking for a practical and functional solution for one of the most frequented rooms every day in the home: the materials used to furnish the industrial-style kitchen are, in fact, resistant materials that do not need any special care during daily use or great maintenance as they are very easy to clean. The industrial style is, again, much more versatile than you might imagine and can also be easily combined with other living styles that may be present in the home: you can furnish an industrial-style kitchen and not let your home lose its personality , that is, even if there is already a modern living room or a classic bedroom.

33290,33291,33292
["GET
