Starting this year, it will be this symbolic object \u2013 made of mirror-polished steel and red resin \u2013 that will be delivered to emerging talents who stand out on the world design scene. \nDaniele Basso, known for his reflective edge sculptures in mirrored steel<\/a><\/strong>, says he was inspired by Bruno Munari<\/strong>, an icon of Italian design, to give shape to an award that would go beyond the size of the object to become an expression of vision and creative identity. The symbolic chair chosen by Basso, Munari's \"Singer \u2013 for very short visits\", appears in the sculpture only half, while its completion takes place in the reflection of the mirror: a continuous dialogue between idea and reality, between project and object. ","testo_b":"\"Being a designer means capturing an idea that, through the project, becomes an object. With Reflectando I wanted to represent precisely this passage: the reflection as a symbol of the invisible but essential part of the creative process\",<\/em> explains the artist.\n\nThe work also embodies the concept of design as an ethical and social act<\/strong>, capable of responding to the needs of humanity and contributing to collective well-being. A message that fits fully into the theme of the 2025 edition of the SaloneSatellite: \"New craftsmanship: a new world\",<\/em> which saw the participation of 700 designers from 36 countries and 20 international design schools. \nDuring the event, the jury chaired by Laura Antonelli<\/strong> (MoMA, New York) awarded the first prize to Kazuki Nagasawa (Japan)<\/strong> for the Utsuwa-Juhi<\/em> series, the second to Luis Marie (Netherlands)<\/strong> for Plissade<\/em>, and the third to Riccardo Toldo (Italy)<\/strong> for the Fil Rouge<\/em> wall lamp. \nWith Reflectando<\/em>, Daniele Basso reconfirms his commitment to connecting art, business and territory, using art as a tool for reflection and enhancement of cultural values.
