This year, the event attracted <strong>289 galleries<\/strong> from <strong>42 countries<\/strong>, presenting works by over <strong>4,000 artists<\/strong>. <strong>\n<\/strong>A distinctive element of this edition was the growing focus on the <strong>mid-priced<\/strong> segment, with galleries oriented towards works of medium accessibility, in response to a decline in sales in the ultra-premium range (over $10 million). According to UBS, global art sales fell by 12% in the previous year, with a 39% reduction in high-end. To date, there are still no sales above 10 million, a sign of the more conservative trend of the market. <strong>\n\nSectors and novelties: a wide and stratified\noffer<\/strong>Art Basel has confirmed its structure divided into thematic sectors: <strong>Galleries<\/strong>, <strong>Premiere<\/strong>, <strong>Statements<\/strong>, <strong>Kabinett<\/strong> and <strong>Unlimited<\/strong>. The <strong>recently introduced Premiere<\/strong> sector highlights works created in the last 5 years, in particular by artists in mid-career but with institutional relevance. The <strong>Unlimited program<\/strong>, on the other hand, allows the presentation of monumental installations, sculptures and immersive performances.    <strong>\n<\/strong>Another modern initiative is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artbasel.com\/basel\/basel\/parcours-overview\">Parcours<\/a><\/strong>, which transforms the city of Basel into an open-air gallery with site-specific works positioned along urban routes and historical sites.","testo_b":"<strong>Local and international\n impact<\/strong>During the fair, Basel is transformed into a <strong>global cultural hub<\/strong>, with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artbasel.com\/basel\/the-show\">satellite events such as Liste Art Fair, Volta Basel and Photo Basel<\/a><\/strong>, complementing the curatorial experience with proposals in official spaces and off-spaces in the city. Markus Rosemarie Schwarzw\u00e4lder highlighted the vibrant <strong>initiative of artistic urban mapping<\/strong>, including <strong>Katharina Grosse's<\/strong> large interventions on Messeplatz, which animated the city just before the opening. <strong>\n\nA barometer of contemporary\nart<\/strong>Art Basel 2025 confirms itself as a <strong>thermometer of the health of the global market<\/strong>, measuring the state of sales and artistic offer.
