Born in 2013 as a small event dedicated to Danish brands, today the festival involves the entire city and attracts thousands of professionals, designers, architects and enthusiasts from all over the world every year.
The 2026 edition revolves around the theme "Make This Moment Matter", an invitation to reflect on the value of the present through projects capable of combining aesthetics, functionality and design awareness. The festival offers exhibitions, immersive installations, talks, workshops and new product launches distributed in the various creative districts of Copenhagen, transforming showrooms, galleries and historic spaces into true hubs of contemporary design.
One of the distinctive elements of 3daysofdesign is the ability to bring Nordic tradition and experimental research into dialogue. Historic brands and young designers share the same stage, offering a complete overview of the new trends in luxury furniture, lighting design and outdoor furniture. The focus on natural materials, sustainable processes and craftsmanship once again confirms Scandinavia's central role in defining a new international aesthetic language.
Among the most anticipated installations of the 2026 edition are exhibitions dedicated to the relationship between matter and sensory perception, such as "This is Not a Forest" at the Danish Architecture Center, an immersive experience that explores the wood cycle through light, sound and scents. A project that demonstrates how contemporary design is not only about the shape of objects, but also about the way in which they influence emotions and perceptions.
The world of furniture design will also be the great protagonist of the festival. Iconic brands such as Louis Poulsen, Fredericia, Audo Copenhagen and numerous emerging brands will present new collections dedicated to residential and hospitality spaces. Particular attention will be paid to the contamination between technology, sustainability and craftsmanship, themes that are increasingly central to the evolution of contemporary furniture.
The informal and widespread atmosphere makes 3daysofdesign different from traditional trade fairs. Here, design breaks out of conventional exhibition spaces and invades the city, creating an urban experience made up of meetings, temporary installations and creative paths. The general public can also participate in the events for free, helping to make the festival one of the most inclusive and dynamic on the international scene.
In recent years, the festival has become a reference point for identifying the future directions of Nordic design. From new eco-sustainable materials to experimentation in the field of hospitality design, passing through the growing interest in living well-being and fluid spaces, Copenhagen once again confirms itself as the European capital of contemporary creativity.
With 3daysofdesign 2026, design is not simply exhibited, but experienced. An immersive experience that transforms the city into a collective story made up of ideas, matter, light and visions of the future of living.

INFO: 3daysofdesign
["GET
