The project stems from the encounter between aesthetic research, advanced comfort and sculptural inspirations, giving life to a sofa that combines monolithic shapes, visual softness and a strong architectural identity. \n<\/strong>A Singaporean designer based in Porto, Gabriel Tan has developed a collection consisting of eleven different modules, characterized by cubic volumes assembled in an asymmetrical way. The result is a fluid and dynamic composition that breaks the rigidity typical of traditional modular systems. The essential geometries are softened by rounded corners that give the sofa a presence that is both organic and geometric. \n<\/strong>There are two main sources of inspiration for the project. On the one hand, the staggered stone terraces of the Parque da Cidade in Porto, a place that during the pandemic has become a space for meeting and socializing; on the other, the sculptural work of Isamu Noguchi<\/strong>, famous for his ability to dissolve the boundary between hard matter and soft forms. Gabriel Tan transfers this ambivalence to the Soft Stone Sofa<\/a><\/strong> project, creating an object that recalls the solidity of stone but restores a feeling of absolute comfort.\nFrom the early stages of development, ClassiCon<\/strong> has paid particular attention to the quality of the seat. In fact, the system hides a highly complex internal structure, designed to ensure ergonomics and softness without compromising the aesthetic cleanliness of the design. The base is composed of a sturdy plywood structure with traditional Nosag springs, while several layers of technical foams ensure support and differentiated comfort. ","testo_b":"A distinctive detail is the use of memory foam<\/strong>, which allows the body to slowly sink into the seat, offering an enveloping and relaxing sensation. To complete the construction, a quilting in certified down and hollow fibers intervenes, an element that gives the sofa its soft and welcoming silhouette. Each piece is handcrafted in Bavaria with high quality standards and manufacturing precision. \n<\/strong>The modular system has been designed to ensure maximum compositional flexibility. The modules can in fact be combined with each other and expanded over time, allowing customized configurations for residential, hospitality or contract environments. The cushions, available in three different sizes, also contribute to increasing the versatility of the project and the perception of comfort. \n<\/strong>From an aesthetic point of view, one of the most interesting aspects of the Soft Stone Sofa is represented by the deliberately visible folds in the upholstery. This detail breaks the typical linearity of contemporary upholstered furniture and introduces a refined Italian-inspired nonchalance, emphasizing the softness of the project at first glance. \n<\/strong>To further enhance the tactile character of the sofa, ClassiCon and Gabriel Tan have selected four fabrics from the Zimmer + Rohde collection<\/a><\/strong>. Each upholstery gives a different personality to the product: the Tinto fabric recalls the surface of a sun-soaked stone, the Pamir RE boucl\u00e9 introduces a soft and three-dimensional texture, while the Andro Plus chenille accentuates the depth of the shapes thanks to its slight brilliance. Finally, Antoni combines natural and sandy shades with cream shades for a more textural and relaxed aesthetic. \n<\/strong>All upholstery is completely removable and replaceable, while the system can also be customized with fabrics and bespoke leathers.
