Napoli Boat Show: when design meets life on the sea

Between boating, lifestyle and outdoor furniture, the Marina di Stabia event tells new forms of contemporary living

From 18 to 22 March 2026, the marina of Marina di Stabia, in the Gulf of Naples, hosts the first edition of the Napoli Boat Show, an event dedicated to boating that focuses not only on boats but also on the broader universe of nautical lifestyle. The initiative was created with the aim of creating an international event in which sea, innovation and design can meet in a unique context of the Mediterranean.
The format of the Naples boat show stands out for a very concrete approach: the boats are not simply exhibited on the quay, but are available for direct tests in the water, transforming the event into a dynamic and immersive experience. Shipyards, dealers and professionals in the sector meet owners and enthusiasts here in a scenario that combines business and passion for the sea.
Alongside the world of boats, contemporary nautical design tells of a broader ecosystem made up of accessories, technologies and solutions for life on board. In this context, the dialogue with outdoor design becomes increasingly evident. Contemporary boats, in fact, are designed as real living environments, where the comfort of outdoor spaces and the attention to detail of the design outdoor furniture play a fundamental role.
Precisely for this reason, events such as the Napoli Boat Show also represent a meeting point between boating and the design of outdoor spaces. The boundary between boat, terrace on the sea and home environment is becoming increasingly thin: seats, tables and surfaces are designed to withstand marine conditions but also to offer the same aesthetic quality as the design outdoor furniture used in homes, hotels and yacht clubs.

In this scenario, there is also space for realities related to outdoor furniture such as Higold Milano, which participates in the event bringing its own vision of outdoor furniture. The presence of brands related to outdoor furniture in a nautical event is not accidental: the nautical world shares many characteristics with that of outdoor spaces, starting with the need for resistant materials, modular solutions and attention to comfort.
The outdoor furniture proposed by Higold Milano is part of this dialogue between sea and design. Tables, chairs and garden furniture are designed for outdoor environments where aesthetics and functionality must coexist, just as it happens in the lounge areas of a yacht or on the decks of a contemporary boat.
In a context such as that of the Napoli Boat Show, these elements become part of a broader reflection on outdoor living. The experience of the sea is no longer just about sailing, but also about the way you experience spaces: from the deck of a boat to the terrace of a marina, up to the gardens overlooking the Mediterranean.
Nautical events like this therefore demonstrate how exterior design is evolving towards an increasingly integrated vision. The world of boating, landscape architecture and garden furniture today share the same goal: to design places where the relationship between water, light and space becomes an integral part of the living experience.
The Napoli Boat Show, in this sense, is not only a showcase for yachts and motorboats, but also a privileged observatory on the transformations of contemporary design and the way in which the sea continues to influence the design of spaces and the objects that inhabit them.
