The Japanese brand Stellar Works, internationally recognized for its ability to combine craftsmanship, innovation and contemporary design, presents two new collections born from the collaboration with the famous Canadian designer Alessandro Munge, founder of Studio Munge. The collections, called Marea and Pesca, represent a new interpretation of the concept of contemporary luxury, where aesthetics, comfort and functionality coexist in perfect balance.
The Marea collection stands out for its sculptural elegance and a visual language that combines Munge’s Italian sensibility with a modern North American vision. The project includes dining tables, coffee tables, side tables, lounge chairs, dining chairs and ottomans, all characterized by soft lines and sophisticated details. Each element of the collection is born from the encounter between structural strength and visual lightness, creating pieces of furniture capable of adapting to both residential spaces and the world of hospitality design.
One of the most interesting aspects of Marea is the relationship between matter and form. The wooden structures worked by the artisans of Stellar Works become the protagonists of the environment thanks to sinuous profiles, delicate curves and integrated metal details that give lightness and precision to the entire project. The collection thus manages to transform the piece of furniture into a true architectural element, capable of dialoguing with the surrounding space.
Alongside Marea, the new Pesca Sofa One Seater is a statement piece with a strong visual impact. Its organic and enveloping shape immediately recalls the concept of emotional comfort. The soft lines and sartorial workmanship of the stitching emphasize the sculptural character of the seat, creating an object that goes beyond the simple furnishing function.
The padded upholstery helps to reinforce the sense of welcome and relaxation, while the swivel base adds dynamism and versatility. Pesca thus becomes a symbol of quiet luxury, that form of discreet luxury that today dominates contemporary interior design trends. Not ostentation, but quality of materials, attention to detail and the ability to create authentic atmospheres.
According to Alessandro Munge, the collaboration with Stellar Works stems from a sharing of values related to precision, aesthetic research and manufacturing excellence. For the designer, Marea represents a study of movement and stillness, while Pesca is conceived as a sensory experience even before being an object.
The CEO of Stellar Works, Daisuke Hironaka, also emphasizes how both collections embody the brand’s philosophy: to create refined, durable furniture designed to enhance the experience of hospitality and residential spaces.
With Marea e Pesca, Stellar Works confirms its ability to redefine the concept of luxury design, transforming furniture into a visual and emotional experience. Two collections that tell the future of contemporary furniture through a language made of harmony, craftsmanship and innovation.
