MODULAR SHELF SYSTEM

Our modular shelving system, made from sandwich cardboard, is comprised out of three different sized pieces, when combined together they create a sturdy shelf system. This offers plenty of flexibility, so that the system can combine again and again in different room layouts or even to expand. Frequently used in furniture production, to maximize capacity and rigidity whilst also achieving low weight, the board is normally laminated and concealed by other materials. Here though it is shown virtually exposed to the core and thus straightforward, which it is.

The prefabricated components are delivered flat pack, and then folded tool-free and glueless into modules, using a circular grid system connected with wooden dowels and held together with a tension band. The edge radii are not retro-inspired, but result from folding which strengthens the material at this corner and can be reassembled as often as required. The reversible connections enable a modular and varied use and are easy and clean to recycle.
