The new face of luxury in Dubai: interior design between authenticity, sustainability and culture

From branded residences to sustainability, how Dubai is redefining luxury through interior design

Dubai, which has always been a symbol of innovation and architectural ambition, is going through a profound transformation in the way it interprets luxury living. Interior design is no longer limited to scenographic excess, but is oriented towards authentic, sustainable and culturally conscious spaces.
According to the team of the international studio ARRCC, one of the protagonists of INDEX Dubai 2025, the new trend in luxury design is to build environments that speak of identity, emotion and refinement. More and more people with a high profile are choosing to settle in the Emirates for the long term, and this generates a growing demand for custom homes that go beyond passing fads.
In parallel, the luxury hotel industry is also evolving towards solutions that offer a sense of “home away from home”, with immersive experiences and tailored comforts. One of the most obvious trends is the expansion of branded residences, born from partnerships between developers and iconic brands such as Armani, Versace, Porsche or Bulgari. These residences are not only distinguished by their finishes, but by the integration of excellent design and exclusive lifestyle.

In this scenario, customers’ tastes are evolving: ostentation is abandoned in favor of sober, elegant interiors, rich in textures and natural materials. The result is a more mature and international style, which blends Arab and global influences, enhancing functionality and timeless aesthetics. The growing focus on sustainability has led to the rediscovery of the value of craftsmanship. Objects in carved stone, hand-crafted wood and finely chiseled metal give character and depth to the spaces, fostering an authentic connection with the local context. Sustainable design is no longer an option but a requirement of true contemporary luxury, founded on ethics and authenticity. All these trends will find space at INDEX Dubai 2025, the reference event for the world of interior design in the Middle East.
From 27 to 29 May, professionals, international brands and creatives will gather at the Dubai World Trade Centre to share innovative visions and cutting-edge ideas. Among the speakers, also Jon Case of ARRCC, who will offer a valuable contribution on the future of luxury design, inspired by cultural awareness, sustainability and emotional connection. In an ever-changing context, Dubai once again confirms itself as a global protagonist of design, but with a new perspective: more intimate, sophisticated and rooted in timeless quality.
