How to Create a Spa in a Tiny House

A house with a small wellness corner is also possible in small apartments

If during this year of lockdowns at home due to the coronavirus you have missed wellness centers and spas, you can renovate your home with home wellness solutions that will completely change your home life. Let’s see them together.

The sauna
Essential for eliminating toxins, the sauna is useful for both relaxation and weight loss. There are several solutions to set up this space in your home. Even in a tiny house of a few square meters.
You can buy a custom-made walk-in closet, so you can adjust it according to your needs and take advantage of all the space possible. The alternative is infrared sleeping bags: with the heat emitted the effect is identical, but you will be lying on a surface and you will have to remain motionless while the heat of the bag envelops you.

The whirlpool
Another must-have for a self-respecting spa is the whirlpool. But what to do if you only have a shower at home due to lack of space may seem an insurmountable problem.
The solution can be found in an inflatable hot tub that reduces stress and stimulates blood circulation, but without taking up space forever in your home. You can store it whenever you want.
If, on the other hand, you have a normal bathtub, you can convert it into a whirlpool with ozone-generating mats, and add additional comfort with a bathtub cushion.
If you only have one shower, you could buy hydromassage showerheads. It is certainly not like the solution for the transformation of the bathtub, but it will allow you to have an experience closer to the whirlpool that you can experience with those conditions.

The environment
Creating a home wellness environment, however, is not just the installation of accessories, but it is a necessary transformation of the entire area that you want to use as a home spa. Surround it with plants, scented candles, essential aromas, soothing music and warmth.
Use soft, fragrant bath linen to recreate the luxury effect of the spa experience. Store it on stools, near the shower or bathtub, so that they are easy to take. Every detail of your spa must be taken care of in order to use the minimum possible energy to perform any action.

Cosmetics
In every self-respecting spa, treatments are carried out to moisturize, cleanse and smooth the skin. Your home wellness space cannot be outdone: scrubs, body creams, face masks. Use all the products you need for home micro treatments; they are easily available on the market, or can be recreated at home with natural products.
A homemade natural face mask can be made in a few minutes by mixing ingredients such as honey, lemon and egg white. It will have antibacterial properties and dilate pores, but you can create many variations with pantry foods.
Bonnie Friend, of the British agency for reservations in spas, Spakebreaks, said in an interview: “The spa is a multisensory experience”. Nothing excludes you from being able to recreate it in the comfort of your own home.
