Porcelain stoneware: an elegant material that combines warmth and practicality

Let's discover the many advantages of one of the most popular materials for making floors

Stoneware is a very low porosity,  for interiors and exteriors, thanks to the many advantages it offers: the beauty of the textures that can be obtained, from smooth to wood effect, but also its incredible resistance to wear and impact (to the point that special discs and blades are needed to cut tiles) and the wide range of bright colors available to designers.
Wood-themed stoneware tiles, among other things, can also be mounted directly on systems equipped with a thermal and acoustic screed, because this material has the property of transmitting heat in an excellent way, but at the same time reduces residual vibrations, making it perfect for installation in condominiums and in the latest concept houses.

Sturdiness and elegance with the parquet theme for stoneware
Porcelain stoneware is a versatile and always modern material, capable of evolving to follow the latest trends, and which can be had in many different textures. Certainly, one of the most spectacular is that of wood-effect stoneware flooring, with an appearance that is very similar (even to the touch) to common parquet, but with the advantage, compared to the natural material, of not having any particular problems of maintenance and cleaning.
Wood-effect stoneware, therefore, lends itself perfectly to being installed even in special environments that go beyond the classic living room; For example, even in the bathroom, where you very often walk barefoot, this type of flooring is perfect because it manages to convey a unique feeling of warmth, as well as being extremely resistant to stains and easy to clean.
It is also great for use as kitchen flooring, because it is a stain-proof material, which does not absorb grease, and extremely safe even when it is very wet.
In addition to excellent thermal properties and simply unrivalled robustness, this design material is perfect for high-traffic environments or where there is a risk of moisture on the ground. It is therefore very interesting, for example, as a solution for the atrium of a villa or for a commercial space, because it is non-slip and is able to resist all corrosive agents, as well as any potential source of dirt; it also has a very low porosity.
Its surface, in fact, is slightly rough and therefore wood-effect stoneware floor tiles, both large format and smaller, are absolutely safe even for children or people with mobility problems.

Absolute safety, warmth and design
Given its high-temperature processing and starting materials, it is an anti-splinter material, i.e. one that does not break easily; It takes very intense hammer blows to leave its mark, but it does not produce dangerous fragments in any case.
Its non-slip roughness is combined with a very low surface porosity, so there is no danger that soft footwear or rubber leaves permanent marks, because porcelain stoneware is chemically inert and can be safely washed or treated with any type of detergent.
In fact, it resists even extremely aggressive ones, without undergoing the slightest alteration of color or tactile sensation, remaining perfect for decades; It does not fade in sunlight. In fact, it is colored with extremely stable mineral pigments, which are trapped in its porcelain matrix in a definitive way.
It is therefore a very interesting material for interior design because, thanks to the various types of wood-themed surface texture, it allows you to design very suggestive and comfortable environments, without the limitations of the natural material and with the possibility of installing it also in bathrooms and kitchens, where parquet is usually not recommended.
