Apulian design on stage with “Nel Blu dipinto di Blu”

At the Fiera del Levante, Puglia bets on its excellence in the furniture and design sector, also to confirm its vocation for ™export

Having far exceeded 400 million in exports of Apulian wood-furniture in 2021 has prompted the Puglia Region, after the success achieved at Expo Dubai and the Fuori Salone Milano, to relaunch this excellence. Here, then, is the exhibition “Nel Blu dipinto di Blu” (Nel Blu dipinto di Blu), which will showcase the creativity and expertise of 22 Apulian companies and designers during the 85th International General Trade Fair – Fiera del Levante.
Italy’s global leadership in creativity, innovation and interior design is a well-known fact. 2021 of the national wood-furniture supply chain exceeded expectations, with a total turnover that exceeded 49 billion euros. According to regional data from the FederlegnoArredo Study Center, the Apulian wood-furniture supply chain is worth over 1.5 billion euros, of which 1.3 billion euros for furniture, with 40% of the total production of furniture going abroad.

“The suggestions of the work of such a living subject have also been taken up many times in important cinematographic works – as Silvia Orlandini writes in the pages of latenightstreaming.com -, starting with “Pinocchio” in its various transpositions, from animation to horror to science fiction for the small and big screen, to the Finnish drama of “Miracle of a winter’s night”, encompasses the vitality of wood and the importance of being toys for children, up to “Dreamland – The land of dreams”, in which a carpenter will be the savior of an Apulian emigrant”.
An ancient craft characterized by a lot of innovation and the latest trends for renovating homes and offices, which 25 talented designers will present to companies in the contextual “Design to business” event. The third initiative at the fair, “ManiFuture”, will be a tribute to tradition that also opens up to operators from other regions. A full program of events for the enhancement of Apulian design, which will extend from 15 to 23 October 2022.
All this is possible thanks to the promotion of the Puglia Region and Fiera del Levante, with the support of Puglia Sviluppo and Unioncamere Puglia; it will also make use of the precious and qualified collaboration of ADI Puglia and Basilicata (Association for Industrial Design) and the Puglia Creative District.
